“I’M FINE” might be the most common lie told by men, but it’s not just men. Emotional suppression affects almost everyone, especially in high-pressure professions where we’re expected to have it all together. But suppressing emotions isn’t the same as processing them, and the hidden costs of this mindset can impact both our health and performance.
Join Mike Shaw – former professional skier, author, and counsellor – for a candid, interactive conversation on mental health, resilience, and thriving under pressure. Through his powerful story of recovery and evidence-based strategies, Mike will share practical ways to reframe adversity, regulate emotions, and create space for more honest connection in work and life.
Join us for an evening of connection and conversation at the Landmark District, where Sena College takes the spotlight as this month’s host.
Mingle with local professionals, discover what Sena College is all about, and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere designed to foster community and collaboration. Whether you’re looking to grow your network or just wind down with great people — this is the place to be.
